Thank you. Thank you and good evening. Welcome to the 13th Annual People's Choice Awards , coming to you live on CBS. As a past winner, I'd know what makes the People's Choice Awards special: you do. As I look around the room tonight, I see so many of our friends gathered here, your favorite stars of television and music and pictures, the beautiful women dressed so glamorously, the handsome men dressed so elegantly. It's a sight to see if you're in the tuxedo business, I guess. And their appearance here to just shows you the importance that they all place on the People's Choice Awards . As for me, I am happy to be back and honored to be back for the 5th time as the People's Choice Awards host. As a matter fact, this is the same tie and the same tux that I wore on this show 10 years ago, and that's the truth! Saved my money, actually. I hung in so long they call me bone crusher ! But, to put it simply, this is your show. So I know who to come to next time I need a raise. "Only kidding," it says there. So let's get right to it by introducing our first 2 presenters. She is half of the most honest, hard-hitting, successful detective teams in television history and won an Emmy for best actress . His career continues to expand from hilarious comedy to heart-rending drama in movies and television. -
